SMS Staff Notifications

Maitreya Retreat operates an internal SMS notification system for staff, contractors, and work-trader members. This page describes how the program works and how invited team members opt in.

Who receives messages

Only people invited by the business owner (Michael Trainer) receive SMS notifications. Invitations are issued individually to staff members, contractors, and work-trader members. The general public, customers, and walk-ins are NOT enrolled in this program.

How invitations work

When a new team member is brought on, the owner enters their name, role, and mobile phone number into the internal staff dashboard. The team member then receives a private invitation link via SMS or Telegram.

How the team member opts in

The invited team member opens their invitation link, which leads to a secure onboarding form at https://maitreya-dashboard-production.up.railway.app/staff-onboarding. The form requires the team member to:

1. Confirm the last four digits of their phone number (a security step to verify the link reached the intended recipient)
2. Confirm their name
3. Set their availability
4. Select their skills

By completing this onboarding form, the team member confirms they have received their phone number invitation and consent to receive SMS notifications related to their work at Maitreya Retreat.

Team members who do not wish to receive SMS can decline at any point during onboarding and instead receive notifications through Telegram or the in-app dashboard.

What messages contain

Operational notifications related to the team member's work, including:

- Task assignments and due-date reminders
- Manager questions about submitted work
- Approvals and revision requests on submitted work
- Critical-late escalations when a task is past its scheduled deadline

This is NOT a marketing or promotional service. No advertising, no offers, no third-party content.

Message frequency

Frequency varies with task activity. Most team members receive between 1 and 10 messages per day. Higher during busy periods or when a team member has multiple active assignments.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier's plan. Maitreya Retreat does not charge any fee for SMS notifications.

Opt-out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out. Re-enable by replying START or by re-entering your phone number through the staff onboarding form.
